Our Custom Invoices Add-On allows you to customize the labels that appear on invoices as well as the general layout.
This feature is especially useful for companies that want to translate the invoices that they send to their customers as well as companies that want to change address positions.
Enabling
To enable this add-on, go to Account & Settings > Integrations & Add-Ons > Custom Invoices: Enable.
Once enabled, click on “Settings” to start configuring the appearance of invoices.
Usage
On the Custom Invoice Settings page, you can customize:
- Invoice Labels (the labels that appear on invoices).
- Positioning & Layout (the positioning & layout of the invoice title, company address, logo, customer address, invoice details and invoice instructions)
- Additional Invoice Settings
At first, the menu is collapsed and you can click on the section that you’d like to edit. As you edit the settings, a live preview will be generated on the right.
1. Invoice Labels
This section is made up of all the different fields that appear on invoices and credit notes. To change the text for these labels, update each field based on your requirements. If you don’t update a field, the default value will be displayed.
**This section is useful for translating invoices!
2. Positioning & Layout
In this section, you can use the settings to adjust the positioning of the invoice elements. You can customize the row in which elements are displayed, the alignment (left or right) as well as the offset % (relative to the alignment)
In some cases, this might take some trial and error, but the live preview on the right will make it easy to see how your changes affect the appearance of the invoice.
3. Additional Invoice Settings
Additional invoice settings such as the invoice title, sales tax label, discount column, invoice instructions, and more can be set on the Account Settings page under “Invoice Settings”. A link to this specific section is included for your convenience and will open up in a new tab.
