In addition to the billing settings in your Service List and on Teacher and Student profiles, Teachworks has a couple options that can be enabled if needed in your Account's Settings.
One option for paying teachers is to pay them based on the wage that you've set for a particular service in your Service List. Wage tiers adds another dimension to this by allowing you to pay teachers at different rates for the same type of service. This is most commonly used for teachers that have been employed longer or who have more experience. To use this feature you will need to enable it on your Account Settings page in the Wage & Cost Settings section.
Once enabled, you will be able to name your wage tiers, set their respective rates for each of your services and set teacher's wage tiers on their profiles. You can read more about this here: Wage Tiers.
Cost & Wage Premiums
In most cases companies charge students per hour; however, there are situations where you may want to charge a fee per session in addition to the student's hourly rate. For instance, if your teacher needs to travel a longer distance to meet with a student, you may charge that student a cost premium.
To use this feature you will need to enable it on your Account Settings page in the Wage & Cost Settings section.
