If your students purchase packages of hours or lessons that they use over time, you can set the "Package" billing method on the student's profile and then generate an invoice to record the package.
To record a package purchase, follow these steps:

Go to the Billing tab and click "Create Single Invoice"

Select the student or the family that is purchasing the package.

In the invoice items section, select the "Add Package" option and click "Go".
- Select the service type for the package, enter a description, enter the number of hours, the price per hour and a discount if necessary. When you select a service Teachworks will look for the price from the service list and the student discount and pre-fill these fields. For families with multiple students, the discount will be retrieved from the first student in the family -- you can change it if necessary.

Set any other invoice settings as needed.

Click the Approve button to generate the invoice. (Depending on your settings, the package balances table will display the new balance after invoice is approved or after invoice is paid).

The package hours or lessons will be added to the customer's Package Balance under the Billing tab. You can click on a customer's row in the Package Balances table to view their individual packages.
