If you've invoiced a client for too much or you want to provide a refund in the form of credit that can be applied to future invoices, you'll want to issue a credit note for the customer. Follow these steps to issue a credit note:
-
Click on the "Issue Credit Note" option under the Billing tab.
-
Select a customer and enter the credit note settings.
-
You can add charges or packages to a credit note.
-
If you are creating a credit note for a package, only choose the "Credit Package" option if you also want to reduce the number of hours/lessons in the customer's package. Otherwise use the "Add Credit" option so that only the amount they owe will be reduced and their package hours will not be changed.
-
If you are providing credit for some lessons, select the "Add Credit" option under the invoice line items and enter a charge to credit the customer's account for the amount of the credited lessons.
-
If you don't want to make the credit note available to the customer immediately, click the "Save" button. Otherwise click the "Approve" button.
