Teachworks supports a wide variety of methods for billing students. The billing method for a student is set on the student's profile in the "Billing Method" field. Below is a summary of these methods.
Service List Price - Hourly Rate
You can charge students at an hourly rate using the cost set in your Service List. To do this, set the billing method in the student's profile to "Use Service List Price". If you charge your students per lesson you can determine the hourly rate that equates to the lesson cost and set this in your Service List or on the student's profile.
Student Hourly Rate
You can charge students at an hourly rate set on the student's profile. To do this, set the billing method in the student's profile to "Set Price on Student Profile". If you charge your students per lesson you can determine the hourly rate that equates to the lesson cost and set this in your Service List or on the student's profile.
Package
You can sell lesson packages to students that they can use over time. To sell a package to a student, set the billing method on their profile to "Package of Hours". Then create an invoice and select the "Add Package" option in the invoice items section. Enter the package service type, hours and cost and save the invoice. Once the invoice has been approved the packages will be available for the student's use. With this billing method the lesson costs is set to zero, since the student is being billed for a package of hours and not individual lessons.

Cost Premium
An extra billing method that can be applied to students billed at an hourly rate from the service list or the student's profile is the cost premium. This allows you to add an additional charge per session, meaning that it is not affected by the duration of the session. This is most commonly used for charging students that require a teacher to travel a longer distance to meet.
