Teachworks supports two different methods for setting employee wages. The wage method for an employee is set on the employee's profile in the "Lesson Wage Type" field.
Employee wages can be set using one of two methods:
Method 1 - Service List Wage
You can set the wage for employees at an hourly rate using the wage set in your Service List. You can do this by following the steps below:
- Click on "Employees" and then click on "Employee List".
- Click on the "Edit" button to edit a teacher's profile.
- Scroll down to the "Employment Details" section.
- Set the "Lesson Wage Type" field to "Use Service List Wage".
- Submit the form to save your changes.
Method 2 - Employee Profile
You can set the employee's wage at an hourly rate specified directly on their profile. You can do this by following the steps below:
- Click on "Employees" and then click on "Employee List".
- Click on the "Edit" button to edit a teacher's profile.
- Scroll down to the "Employment Details" section.
- Set the "Lesson Wage Type" field to "Set Wage on Profile".
- Set the hourly wage you'd like to pay the teacher in the "Lesson Hourly Wage" field.
- Submit the form to save your changes.
NOTE: The hourly wage you set on the teacher's profile will be used for all of their lessons, regardless of the service that is selected for their lessons.
NOTE: When updating an employee's wage method, the wages for existing lessons will not be updated automatically. If you wish to update these lessons to use the new wage settings, you can follow the steps in this article: Recalculating Lesson Cost and Wages.
