There are three different lesson reminder templates for students, families and teachers. You can read about how to customize your template here: Customizing Notification Templates.

Enabling Reminders for Recipients
To enable lesson reminders for a student, family or employee, follow these steps:
-
Go to the user's profile.
-
Scroll down to the Notifications section and check the box for "Lesson Reminders".
-
Save the form.
Lesson reminders are queued and sent at the beginning of each hour so any lessons that have a starting time in the same hour are sent together at the beginning of the hour.
For example, if your lead time for reminders is 24 hours then lessons begining at 4:10pm, 4:30pm and 4:50pm will all be queued and sent the day before at 4pm. Therefore in order for lessons beginning after 4pm to have reminders sent, they must be added to the calendar before 4pm the day before.
Reminder Emails
Student/Family Lesson Reminders - A lesson reminder is sent to students and families for each individual upcoming lesson a student has.
Teacher Lesson Reminders - Teachers will be sent a single lesson reminder 24 hours prior to their first upcoming lesson of the day (assuming the Lesson Reminder Lead Time is set to 24 hours). This lesson reminder will contain all of their lessons for the day. If any lessons are added or any lessons in the lesson reminder are edited, a new lesson reminder email will be sent containing the new lessons or changes.
- Lesson Reminders are only sent if the status of the lesson is set to "Scheduled." The Lesson Reminder Email won't be sent if the status of the lesson is "Attended," "Missed," or "Cancelled."
- Lesson Reminders are only sent to Students/Families whose status is set to "Active" or "Prospective"
