Teachworks supports a number of different billing methods. This article will look at our non-hourly Flat Fee Billing method in some more detail:
1. When to use it
If you bill your customers a set amount, regardless of the number of lessons they’ll be taking over a period of time.
2. How the customer is charged
Customers are charged a flat fee per term, per month or per any other period of time you select. When billing a customer using the flat fee method, the lesson cost will be set to $0 since the customer is charged a flat fee for the lessons.
3. Steps to follow to use this method in Teachworks
To use the flat fee method, you need to first set the “Billing Method” on the student’s profile to “Charge Flat Fee”.
When generating an invoice for a customer, use the “Add Charge” option in the invoice items section to enter the charge.
4. Using the Invoice Autopilot Add-On
You can create an invoice autopilot schedule with the “Add Charge” option to automatically bill your customers a flat fee. More information: Invoice Autopilot Add-On
