The Billing Notes Add-on allows you to add notes to customer profiles that will be visible when creating or editing invoices for those customers.
Enabling the Add-on
- Click on "Account & Settings" and then click on "Integrations & Add-ons".
- Use the "Search" field on the right-hand side and enter "Billing Notes".
- Click on "Enable" under the add-on's section.
Once the add-on has been enabled, a "Billing Details" section will become available on Family profiles.
Usage
You can follow the steps below to add billing notes to a customer's profile:
- Click on "Students" and then click on "Families" (or "Students" for Independent Students).
- Edit the Family/Independent Student's profile by clicking on the "Edit" button.
- Scroll down to the "Billing Details" section.
- Enter the relevant details about this customer's billing in the "Billing Note" field.
- Submit the form to save your changes.
Once the billing notes have been entered on the customer's profile, the next time you create or edit one of their invoices, the billing notes will be available at the top:
You can also find the notes on the right-hand side when viewing one of their invoices:
NOTE: Billing notes will only be visible when creating a single invoice. If you are creating invoices in bulk or are using the Invoice Autopilot Schedule, the billing notes will only be visible when editing their invoices.
